**Our Opportunity:**
**Organization Objective/Purpose:**
Security tool administration, engineering, and build\-out of the Network Security Model \(NSM\) in support of Security Operations mission\. Our objective is to support the STS and TIS vision through the execution of services in the following major Security areas: Monitoring, Risk Analysis, Incident Response, and Security Integration Engineering\.
**What youll do:**
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Deploy and maintain full packet capture tool, Security Analytics for Packets \(formerly known as NetWitness\), including meta tagging and writing custom Lua parsers
+ Deploy and maintain SSL Decryption
+ Partnering with and ensuring the needs of the Security Operations Centers needs are met in conjunction with fellow Security Tools team members with respect to security engineering and security incident response
+ Security tool and open\-source tool administration, automation, documentation, end\-user training, and engineering
+ Build\-out NSM model in collaboration with teammates
**What you have:**
**Qualifications:**
+ Must have expereince in working remote\.
+ Expert knowledge of Linux including server hardening, user rights, interpretation of system logs, and automation of tasks
+ A minimum of 5 years analyzing a high volume of logs utilizing regular expressions \(regex\)
+ A minimum of 5 years analyzing network packet captures to detect security anomalies, such as convert channels and exploit attempts
+ In\-depth knowledge of networking and network protocol messaging
+ Experience in Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP, Bash, Lua, or other scripting languages with a focus on system administration and security engineering
+ Experience in security engineering and/or security incident response
+ Experience deploying open\-source solutions such as LAMP\-based applications, Snort, Squid, Nagios, Postfix, etc\.
+ Highly effective communication skills \(both written and oral\)
+ Bachelors degree, or, as a minimum, 10 years of IT\-related experience
+ Travel \(approx\. 10%\) may be required
**Preferred Skills:**
+ \*\*\*Hands\-on experience deploying and administering RSA Security Analytics for Packets is highly preferred\*\*\*
+ Active participation in building out an IT Security Operations Network Security Model \(NSM\) is highly preferred
+ Windows system administration skills, including system logs, registry, and Active Directory integration
+ Familiarity with commercial and open\-source security and big data tools, such as ArcSight/SIEM solutions, BlueCoat SSL Decryption, IDS \(Snort, Suricata, SourceFire\), Signature\-less Malware Detection \(RSAs ECAT\), full packet capture tools and integration with other security tools \(Security Analytics for Packets\), Splunk, Hadoop, etc\.
+ Experience with administration of SQL databases and forming SQL queries, as well as no\-SQL
+ Experience with LDAP
+ Experience with Nagios, Puppet, Salt, or other frameworks for centralized system management
+ IT/Security Certifications
+ Self\-starter, able to work with limited supervision and be able to work well with others
