This firearm has the original Prussian (German) stamps. It is an original xxxx GEW98 and bears the authenticating upper stamps on the chamber and the GEW98 stamp accompanied by the Prussian Eagle and Crown - all the original authentic Imperial Army markings. This gun is unheard of, without the post war treaty altering and stamps (those are a dime a dozen). It is unaltered parts, (not mixed), and was never affected by the post WW2 Treaty required stamps because it was taken by a US Army soldier as Spoils of War during the Great War. It has been sporterized, has a sight mount, and an updated stock. It is worth $5,000 - you will never see another. It shoot straight and true.
