AR500 Body Armor Trauma Plates are stand alone, multi-hit capable, and bench tested to the same armor rating as Type III. Type III Armor will defeat rifles rounds up to 7.62x51/.308 @ xxxx ft/s. The AR500 used to create our plates is sourced in the USA, where they are also cut, inspected and finished right here in Arizona, 100% made in the USA. Our AR500 is specifically chosen for plate production, we choose the highest Brinell rating for our armor.

Sizing: Our Trauma Plate is 10"x12" and will fit most common plate carriers, and any plate carrier capable of accepting 10"x12" plates in size. Our new ASC, Advanced Shooters Cut allows the operator to comfortably shoulder their weapon while wearing our body armor.
Weight: Each plate weighs in at only 7.5lbs Our AR500 Armor plates do not have a limited shelf life. No special handling is required outside of common sense, our armor is built to last
Coating: We take extra care in not affecting the final heat treatment of the AR500 as it comes from the manufacturer. Because of this we coat in a "cold" method, and avoid the common practice of powder coating which many other manufacturers do. We feel there is no need to expose the AR500 to extra heat for any reason, helping eliminate one extra variable to ensure our Armors durability. Each plate is coated with industrial grade enamel offering protection again UV, rust, chemicals and general wear. The coating is functional and effective.
Each of our Trauma Plates are hand beveled to prevent wear on your carrier. Be cautious when purchasing a steel plate that isn't properly finished, AR500 is a very hard steel, and can have sharp edges if purchase unfinished. This could result in damage to your carrier.
