I read a statement this week that caught my attention ... "The Church is God's idea, we ignore it at our own peril." Many people find time to join their friends at Starbucks, a concert, or the pub on Friday or Saturday but not at Church on Sunday. Perhaps they've had bad experiences at church that left disillusioned. I think we could all tell stories of hypocrites, self-righteous blowhards, and sexual predators in the church, but the church is still God's plan for every believer, young and old alike. We were designed for community, the type of community that only the church provides. There are things we experience, things we learn, things we do, that can only be done in a church setting. They're right ... "The Church is God's idea, and we ignore it at our own peril." I hope you will join us this Sunday, August 24 at 10:30 AM for a message I have entitled "It's NOT Luck ... It's God's Favor!" It's pretty easy to look at someone who is doing well and suggest they are really lucky. What you don't know, is that it is very likely NOT luck but rather God's Favor. Enjoy a lite Breakfast first @ our Cafe Connection (usually about $3.00) from 9:00 am to 9:30 am, followed by Sunday School, various classes for all ages, from 9:30 to 10:30. On Wed. night, 7 -8:15 PM, we call it our Family Night. There are Bible studies for both our Adults and High School Students. For our young Men/Boys there's Royal Rangers. There's "Girls Ministries" for young girls and "Rainbows" for boys and girls ages 3-6. We provide a Nursery for your children up to 3 years of age (during scheduled church services).
